Intimations – Sunday 15th March 2026
Welcome to any visitors worshiping with us this morning. There are large print hymn books and orders of service available from the welcome team. Services are streamed live and can be watched later on YouTube. Please join us for tea and coffee after this morning’s service in the Memorial Hall.
Today the service includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion. All are welcome to take part in the service whether a member or not of the church.
At the end of the service there will be a collection for St Margaret of Scotland Hospice (Charity no. SC005623) The Hospice is undergoing a major refurbishment project to upgrade the building and the services they can offer patients. The Hospice has a long standing connection with the area and our congregation.
The Wednesday Lent study group meets at 7pm to 8.15pm in the church office. This year the study theme will be Belonging in Christ – Offering a hope filled vision of peace for all. Each week will have a theme with material available beforehand, although it is not necessary to read this before each discussion.
We are now advertising for our part-time pastoral assistant. The job application pack can be found on the church website. The closing date is Wednesday the 8th of April.
The Christian Aid Spring Fayre is in Jordanhill Parish Church this coming Saturday, March 21st, from 10am until 12noon. Please come and support this worthy cause. Pancakes, tea and coffee will be served, and there will be additional stalls for you to browse.
We are collecting Easter Eggs for the Lodging House Mission again this year. Eggs can be left in the church office (Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 1.30pm) The last day for donating is 29th March.
The Kirk Session meet on Tuesday 24th March at 7pm. Please can any reports be handed to the office, and agenda items to the Session Clerk.
Unfortunately the speaker for the Guild meeting on Tuesday 17th March has had to cancel for family reasons, but we have come up with exciting alternatives so please come along as usual at 2.00pm.
The midweek services takes place on Wednesdays at 10.30am. These services last about 30 minutes and are followed by tea and coffee in the Memorial Hall, please enter by the Munro Road door.
A warm welcome awaits you at the church café each Wednesday. Tea/coffee is available from 11am after the service, and lunch from 12 noon.

Starter Packs: Starter Packs is a charity that aims to alleviate poverty and support vulnerable people in and around Glasgow. They provide packs of basic household items to help people settle into new homes. Currently they are looking for mugs, plates, tumblers and double bed linen. If you would like to donate or require more information about Starter Packs, please see Norma Hendry.
Foodbank: The Glasgow North West foodbank is very grateful for all the support from Jordanhill Parish Church and our neighbouring churches. If you would like to donate food items there are pink collecting baskets at the entrance to the church and halls. The foodbank based at Blawarthill also distributes from the Victory Church & Family Centre in Possilpark.
Stamp Appeal: Do you have any used stamps? We collect these for the Church of Scotland, who recycles them. the 2025/26 appeal will give donations raised to support the work of the Al Ahli Hospital in Northern Gaza. More information can be found on the noticeboards. Used stamps can be left outside the church office.
Sunday Collection: The collection is given on the way into Church, and brought forward during the service.
Live streaming: The Sunday services are live streamed. This means that some areas of the church will be in the view of the camera, these areas include the chancel area and the front couple of rows of pews. The live stream can be accessed by clicking on the link on the front page of the church website. Shortly after the service has concluded the service will be available to watch as a recording on the church YouTube channel.
